Autograph Letter Signed to fellow painter Charles Eastlake, 1 page 12mo (laid down, a small tear at the top), no place, 6 November no year [1866]. Sending 'my dry little official notification of having completed my labor at the House of Lords', and looking forward to meeting Eastlake, along with [Charles West] Cope and [Arthur John] Herbert, the following Thursday morning.
Between 1857 and 1866 Maclise painted two frescos in the Royal Gallery in the House of Lords, Wellington and Blücher at Waterloo and The Death of Nelson.
