DICKENS, Charles (1812-1870). Novelist.
Autograph fragment evidently from a letter, 50 x 113 mm. (ca 2 x 4½ inches). Inviting a friend to Gad's Hill Place and neatly describing it.
'I shall ask you when June comes (please God) to come down to my little place, which you have never yet seen. In the course of a few years I think I have made it as pretty a house and as comfortable a one, for summer of winter, as one could easily find in England. ...'
