Fine and attractive grant with the original seal in excellent condition. Latin.
Grant by Ralph son of Henry of Sibbertoft, Northants, to the Premonstratensian house of Sulby, Northants in free alms of the overlordship over his tenant Thomas Motun including the rent of one penny a year he paid to Ralph, probably for land in Sibbertoft, with warranty. Witnesses: Thomas Motun, Robert of Kinton, Robert Geroll', William Amias, Auric of Lobbenho and others.
 Date: from the handwriting, the form the grant, and the absence of any dating, probably 1240-1280.
 Red wax personal seal of Ralph with the legend 'SIG / DE / REDULFI / FILI/ HENRICI'.
