Autograph Letter Signed ('H. Brougham') to an unnamed correspondent, 2 pages 8vo with blank leaf (some traces of mounting on the reverse), Hill Street, 10 July 1828. A letter of introduction for [Charles] Knight.
'Will you allow me to introduce Mr Knight, our acting editor at the Society for the Dif[fusion] of Useful Knowledge. He is very anxious, as we are, for the benefit of your assistance in the way he will describe to you. The matter in view will further our Zoological Socy's object also.'
A note ('Answered') signed with intials at the head is the recipient's endorsement, but we have not as yet identified him.
