Signed on the second day of the King's reign

GEORGE III & William Pitt the Elder (1738-1820). King of England, & (1708-1778) Prime Minister 1766-1768.
Document Signed by both ('George R' at the head, 'W Pitt' at the foot), 1 page large folio (oblong) on vellum, given at Saville House, 27 October 1760. Appointing John, Earl of Westmoreland [sic], Lieutenant General 'of all and singular Our Forces, as well Horse as Foot'.
This attractive document was signed on the second day of the King's reign.
John Fane, seventh earl of Westmorland, was a distinguished soldier and Chancellor of Oxford University.
