BLYTON, Enid Mary (d. 1968). Writer for children.
Autograph Letter Signed to her biographer, George Greenfield, 1 page 4to (irregular filing-holes only just touching the text), Green Hedges, Beaconsfield, 26 February 1948. Thanking her for returing an agreement, and discussing a forthcoming publication ('It ought to be a lovely book - I do like a well-produced book, don't you?')
Greenfield worked for the literary agent John Farquarson for many years. He knew Enid Blyton well as both agent and friend, and was from 1989 to 1991 a director of the Enid Blyton company. A copy of his slim biography (Sutton Publishing, 1998, paperback, with his signature pasted to the title page) accompanies the letter.
