[EDWARD II] (1307-1327). King of England Fine document from the reign of Edward II in an unusually elegant hand, with the greater part of the pendant seal attached, 3 Edward II [1309]. 62 x 214 mm. (c. 2½ x 8½ inches) on vellum. Charter of confirmation in the name of Reginald de la Bere, inspecting and confirming a grant made by his brother Oliver de la Bere to his foster-child (alumnus), Adam de la Bere, of a life interest in all his land at Bere Ferrers, Devon, with a promise of warranty and acquittance. Ten named witnesses, drawn from both Devon and Cornwall, including Nicholas de Ferrers and master William of Trehunsy.
