CHURCHILL, Sir Winston Spencer (1874-1965).
Menu for a dinner given by the Chingford Conservative and Unionist Association on 28 January 1925, signed on the back by Churchill and Clementine. Rather soiled overall, as is often the case with menus. Churchill has signed in ink (his 'wilderness years' signature) and Clementine in pencil below.
Chingford is in the Epping constituency that Churchill represented in Parliament from October 1924 until the end of his public life in 1964 (the boundary was changed in 1945 and it became the Woodford constituency).
[No: 21747]
