Whereas Wee have Received good Testimony of the Loyalty, Probity, knowledge and long experience of Our Trusty and Welbeloved Thomas Smith Esqr, one of the senior procurators in the Courts of the Ecclesiasticall and Civill Lawes, Wee have of our free Grace and meer motion, and as a mark of Our Royall favour to him, constituted made and appointed, and by these presents under Our Signett and sign manuall do constitute, make, and appoint him the said Thomas Smith Our Procurator in all causes and matters, maritime, forreign, Civill and Ecclesiasticall whatsoever which do or may any way concerne Us, or Our Interest, Rights and Prerogatives ...'
