BADEN POWELL, Sir Robert, 1st Baron (1857-1941). Founder of the Boy Scout movement. Typewritten Letter Signed to Lord Ebury, 1 page 8vo (oblong), Pax Hill, Bentley, Hampshire, 9 December 1925. Thanking him for showing an interest in the Boy Scout Movement ('It is a tremendous encouragement to our boys and workers in the Movement to have such backing'). After holding an experimental camp on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour in the summer of 1907 and the publication of Scouting for Boys in January 1908 Baden Powell had founded the Boy Scout Movement in the latter year.
