Autograph Letter Signed to Davies Gilbert, President of the Royal Society, 1 page 4to (small printed identification slip), 'au jardin du roi à Paris', 28 June 1830. Informing him that he is at work on a eulogy for their illustrious confrère, Sir Humphry Davy, which he will read at the next meeting of the Academy. The letter conveyed with a copy of the works of Pliny carried by the editor.
