Autograph Letter Signed ('Bill') on a correspondence-card to Catherine, Ebble Thatch, Bowerchalke, Wiltshire, no date. Thanking her for congratulations 'which I value more than most'.
Though undated, it is probable that the congratulations refer to his Nobel prize for Literature, awarded in 1983.
