Letter Signed to Cardinal Crescentio in Rome ('Mon Cousin'), 1 page 4to with address-leaf bearing two black wax armorial seals (some soiling and small splits). Dated at Whitehall, 15 February 1686 (actually 1687 if using the English style but 1686 if by the 'new style' in use in Italy since 1582.
A diplomatic letter, in French, thanking the Cardinal for his greetings on the holy feast of the Nativity, and referring to God's infinite graces and to the cardinal's zeal for her prosperity.
