HARDY, Thomas (1840-1928). Poet and novelist.
Autograph Letter Signed ('T.H.') to an unnamed correspondent on one side of a correspondence-card, Max Gate, 29 March 1906. Thanking his correspondent for the reprint of an article.
'Many thanks for the reprint of your article in the London Quarterly, which I read at the time I received it, & found interesting. I am sorry to be unable to write at greater length.'
See Collected Letters ed. Millgate, Vol 3, page 201, where it is suggested that the article most likely to have interested Hardy in the January 1906 issue of the London Quarterly was 'The Garden City Movement' by Geoffrey Hamilton.
