BROWNING, Robert (1812-1889). Poet.
Autograph Letter Signed to [James Anthony] Froude, 1 page 8vo on black-edged paper, 19 Warwick Crescent, 9 February 1867. A brief, but warm, note of gratitude.
'Thank you heartily, - yes, with great pleasure.'
A short time hence (1869), Browning was to remark cynically upon his correspondent 'making such a Froude of himself'.
Apparently unpublished, not noted in The Brownings' Correspondence, a Checklist.
[No: 21159]
