Autograph Letter Signed (correspondent's name not deciphered), 1 page 8vo (a little soiled), R[oyal] Institution, 12 April 1839. Sending by messenger for 'something for the table'. Together with a carte-de-visite sized photograph of Faraday.
'Your message was very kind. I was at the moment thinking of writing to you & now send a messenger in hopes you can send me something for the table & amongst them some large coarse thing or two for I have had no time to obtain any thing.'
