Sending the final corrections for the Violin Solo, and stating that he will go to Crefeld. Together with the retained copy of an Autograph Letter Signed from Harold Brooke relating to Elgar's visit to Crefeld and transcripts of both letters.
'... Here are the final corrections for the Violin Solo. They can be added to part and score at some convenient time. There is nothing vital. ...'
Harold Brooke was a director of Novello & Co, Elgar's publishers, and a pianist himself with professional training. Elgar's Violin Concerto was performed for the first time at the Philharmonic Society concert in Queen's Hall on 10 November 1910.
