Good Typewritten Letter Signed with autograph salutation to [Brigadier] Peter Young, Ministry of Defence, 2 February 1962. Announcing that he had been instrumental 'in getting the Green Beret back into the Army'.
'... On my recommendation the Royal Artillery are going to attach 105 mm pack Howitzer batteries to the Royal Marine Commandos for service on board H.M. Ships BULWARK and Autograph LetterBION.
It has been agreed between the War Office and Royal Marine Office that the gunners will wear the Green Commando beret with a gunner badge, as they did in the war. ...'
