Document Signed, also signed by Talleyrand, 1 page large folio on a printed form, 17 Nivose, An II [7 January 1803]. A receipt for the payment of Bernadotte's expenses as Ministre plénipotentiare Près les Etats unis de l'Amérique
A fine document on a pre-printed form for the expense claims under a law of 10 May 1802. Bernadotte was voted 80,000 francs for his expenses as plenipotentiary to the United States, and claims in the present document an advance of 20,000 for one quarter. Talleyrand has signed the document as the minister of foreign affairs.
