Autograph Letter Signed to Dr Southwood Smith (1788-1861, unitarian minister and medical populariser), 1 page 16mo, 8 December 1830 ('Wednesday Night'). A brief letter summoning the doctor, but with three postscripts.
'... Answer by return of post requested . ... The visit will be a professional one: though as I have nothing particular the matter with me - nothing but old age, one day for it will do as well as another.'
