FREDERICK II, The Great (1712-1786). King of Prussia.
Document Signed ('Fr' with a flourish), 1 page folio (a little worn and foxed) with red-wax seal, Potsdam, 25 April 1777. Granting half of a large building to Johann Wolffgang Pentzel for the establishment of metal button factory.
'... We Ourselves grant the heritable ownership of the two massive houses previously built on the canal here at Our Own expense and intended for a sewing needle factory, [here follow measurements and details] together with the previous existing occupation easement, to the metal button manufacturer ... with the proviso that he and his heirs or all other legal owners shall at all times operate and continue therein a proper metal button factory that may be to the public benefit. ...'
