HITLER, Adolf (1889-1945). German Führer.
Document signed in blue-black ink, 3 pages folio with embossed seal in the second leaf, Berlin, 12 october 1934. The appointment of Cuthbert Lloyd Fox as German vice-consul in Falmouth in the county of Cornwall. The text is partly printed in black and completed by hand in a lighter ink.
The document is accompanied by the carbon copy of a chilling document - a sworn statement by Fox denying any Jewish connections, evidently required of him as a condition of the appointment.
