Autograph Letter Signed to a contributor, 1½ pages 8vo on black-edged paper, Office of All the Year Round, 28 July 1870. Written within a month of his father's death on 9 June 1870 concerning a contribution to the magazine.
'I had intended using your paper on Western Slang, but find on looking over it again that it is in great part anticipated by a paper on a similar subject I have had in type for some time. ...'
