Collection comprising two Autograph Letters Signed and an autograph poem of Eleanor Farjeon, letters written to her, and some by or to her brothers.
Eleanor Farjeon: Autograph Letter Signed to Bethel [Solomons] jnr, 2 pages small 4to, 20 Church Walk, 6 April 1937, evidently sending autographs for his collection:
'... I'm glad you've that feeling for D.H.L., and you seem to be such a genuine collector that one day, perhaps - who knows? I am putting my own separate "autograph" in the All:Sorts envelope. This is only a ramshackle note. I'm no longer abed, thank you, but have been writing myself dizzy since 6.a.m. & my hand shakes round the pen. ...'Autograph Letter Signed ('your muzzy-brained Nellie') on both sides of a postcard to Gertrude Solomons, 2 April, no date, discussing Bethel's collection, declining to give up any of her D.H.L. letters but offering others, and adding:
'... I'll read Eve's Doctor. Isn't she the one that did the lovely life of Andersen? Our "Snow white" was beautifully done; I don't know when our next will be.'Autograph Manuscript Signed ('Nellie') of a twelve-line poem ('The moon upon her watch-tower ...'), inscribed to Gertrude [Solomons] in a Christmas Card.
