Document Signed, 1 page double folio (a little soiled in the central fold), St James's, 27 July 1933. An interesting document confirming the appointment by the German President (Hindenburg) of Emil [Karl Joseph] Wiehl as consul-general at Pretoria.
'... Whereas Our Good Friend the President of the German Reich has by a Commission bearing date the Twenty-second day of April 1933 appointed Herr Emile (sic) Wiehl to be Consul-General at Pretoria for Southern and Northern Rhodesia, Basutoland, Bechuanaland Protectorate, Swaziland and British Nyasaland and We having approved of this appointment ...' etc.
