GEORGE VI (1895-1952). King of England.
Autograph Letter Signed ('Albert') to Godfrey [Faussett], 1½ pages 8vo (traces of mounting tape), Buckingham Palace, 13 March 1916. Thanking him for making arrangement for an engagement at which the prince was to make a speech.
'... I hope that all the people on your list won't be there, as I shall be very nervous in any case. I shall certainly take my paper there in case of accident. It ought not to be very difficult to learn by heart.
I showed the speech to Papa and he quite agrees to it. ...'
