GEORGE V as Prince of Wales
Letters from members of the royal family giving thanks for wedding gifts are often reproductions. This is not generally true of personal letters, which even now will be fully autograph, but a letter like this, although addressed to Lord Sandwich, can be seen to be meant for the eyes of the entire population of Huntingdon. Moreover the ink is black, which would not have been the case for an autograph letter. Beware, however that the letter in which George V welcomes returning prisoners of war is printed in blue ink.
