ANNE (1665-1714). Queen of England.
Document Signed ('Anne R.') at the head, 1 page folio (oblong) on vellum (slightly faded, but readable), given at St James's, 7 July 1702. A commission document, appointing Francis Lindsay a Lieutenant 'of the company whereof Andrew Monroe Esq is Captain in the Regiment of Foot commanded by our trusty and Welbeloved Captain James Ferguson'.
Signed also by Daniel Finch, Second Earl of Nottingham, as Secretary of State. With embossed paper seal and blue revenue stamps. Small piece excised from the upper right hand corner with no effect on the text.
