Autograph Letter Signed to 'Henri' [?Henry Stuart], 1 page 8vo, [Paris], 'Samedi matin' no date. Explaining that he had sought his correspondent all over Paris and had only just received Henri's invitation on the eve of his departure until the 20th of August, but promising to take up the invitation on his return.
'... Permiettez au moins que je regarde votre amiable invitation valable pour l'epoque de mon retour, & veuillez me rappeler au souvenir de l'amiable Miss Stuart & de Madame sa Tante. ...'
