ARNIM, Achim von (1781-1831). German romantic poet & novelist.
Good Autograph Letter Signed to a friend, 4 pages 4to, Berlin, 28 May 1810. Announcing the sending of a copy of Teick's 'poetisches Journal' along with his own novel to make the parcel more acceptable, asking that they be shown to Moritz von Schwind, and discussing the education of his friend's children.
The novel to which he refers is probably Armut, Reichtum, Schuld und Busse der Gräfin Dolores (The Poverty, Wealth, Debt & Penance of the Countess Dolores). Arnim and his future brother-in-law, Clemens Brentano had published their celegrated collection of German folk-songs Des Knaben Wunderhorn in 1805-1808.
