Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, 1 page 8vo (laid down), Athenaeum, 2 May 1839. Confirming an invitation to dine and stay at Eton Lodge, and apologising becauase he is a little unsure as to the exact day arranged.
'... The Fact is I have been harassed all the Day with a Multiplicity of Annoyances and tho I believe that my Head is towards the Zenith and my Feet to the Nadir I would hardly venture to speak positively. ...'
