Autograph Letter Signed ('A.E.') to an unnamed duchess, both sides of a black-edged correspondence-card, Sandringham, 3 December, no year. Thanking her for sending birthday greetings to his wife, the Princess of Wales, regretting that he will not be able to see her, but expressing relief that she will be able to discuss her problem with Lord Farquhar.
'... I am glad you will have an opportunity of seeing Ld. Farquhar as he is an excellent man of business & will give you the best possible advice on the matter ... .'
