Queen Victoria, by Lytton Strachey, first edition 1921, with letters of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert pasted to the endpapers. A good copy with some pencilled annotations and one in ink, the letters affixed on the free endpapers at the front and back. Queen Victoria (attached to the back endpaper by the blank leaf): Autograph Letter Signed ('VRI') to 'My dear Aunt', 2 pages 8vo with the small royal monogram in gilt in the top left hand corner of each leaf, printed catalogue description attached at the top, 'Thursday Eveg.', no date [before 14 December 1861]. '... I of course do not think of your coming to the Drawing-room - w[which] w[ould] be too great an exertion for you. Prince Albert (attached to the front endpaper), Autograph Letter Signed to 'My dear Sir', 1 page 8vo on black-edged paper, printed catalogue description attached at the top, Buckingham Palace, 14 March 1848. Thanking him for his communication and asserting that 'Friday the 24th will be a very good day for the next meeting.
