WILLIAM IV (1765-1837). King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
Document Signed ('William R' at the head), 1 page folio (oblong, on vellum, signs of former mounting), St James's 7 January 1834. Countersigned at the foot by William Lamb, second Vicount Melbourne, at this time home secretary but soon to become prime minister.
A commission for John Nugent as Lieutenant 'in Our Third Regiment of Dragoon Guards'.
