Autograph Letter Signed to Monsieur Gas, 1 page 4to, Chambourcy, 24 February 1948. Declining to authorise an exhibition of his work.
'It is impossible for me at present to contemplate an exhibition of my paintings. Various reasons prevent me. The principal is that previous and absolutely formal engagements are one reason, the other reason is that I do not wish at present to stage any event. The time is not yet right.
 In spite of all this thank you for thinking of me.'
