AMusQ (unsigned), 2 bars on one stave, ca 70 x 211mm (2½ x 8 inches), tipped to the remains of an album leaf bearing a translation of Saint-Saens' note.

'Another arrangement of the two bars for the left hand.'

Saint-Saens has added in blue pencil:I prefer the first version.'
A typewritten note at the head indicates that the bars were sent to his publisher Schott.
