Autograph Letter Signed to W[illiam] Jerdan at the Literary Gazette, 1 page 4to with address, 27 Charles Street, 'Middlesex Hospital', 16 october 1834. Sending songs in the hopes of 'a civil word for them'.
'I send you the song I am proud you admire ["Molly Carew" inserted in another hand] but I not only send you a M.S. but some published songs of mine - "The Songs of the Superstitions of Ireland" amongst which the "Angels Whisper" I sang for you on Saturday and which you liked. ...'
