Typewritten Letter Signed to Mackay, 1 page 4to (small tear in one of the folds), 34 Oxford Terrace, Hyde Park, 30 June 1898. Sending a draft prospectus (no longer included), thanking Mackay for 'that beautiful reproduction of my old photograph of R.L.S.', and promising to have it framed 'as soon as I am settled anywhere'.
Together with his stepfather, Lloyd painted the map of an imaginary island that formed the inspiration for Treasure Island.
