Actor-manager.
Email about this entry
Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, 1 page 8vo, 20 King Street, St James's, 8 June 1870. Offering to meet his correspondent. W.H.C. Nation apparently holds the dubious distinction of having having produced the play attended by the smallest audience in theatrical history. At the first performance of his pantomime 'Red Ridinghood', in the early twentieth century, neither of the audience would accept an invitation to come down from the gallery to the stalls. £35 [No: 23606] |
