GRIEG, Edvard Hagerup (1843-1907). Norwegian composer.
Autograph Letter Signed in German to an unnamed correspondent, 2 pages 8vo on conjoint leaves ('repaired' right across the centre with adhesive tape), Voksenkollen Sanatorium, 11 February 1903. The price of the letter reflects the irreversible damage caused by the clumsy amateur repair, which is irreversible. The letter bears a fine signature and text is entirely legible, however.
Sending thanks for an appreciation of Lyric Pieces,.('You have given me great pleasure by your sympathy'), celebrating the fact that strangers may make a spiritual connection through 'the red thread of art', and regretting that he cannot send a photograph.
