Autograph Letter Signed to fellow painter Alfred Elmore, 3 pages 8vo, letterhead excised (by Maclise), no place, no date. Sending a note to be forwarded to Foley (no longer present) and expressing his sympathy for 'the loss we have had in the death of one I so much gloried in as artist & valued good fellow'.
Maclise apologises for the state of the paper, explaining that he is 'not at Cheyne'.
