TELFORD, Thomas (1757-1834). Engineer.
Autograph Letter Signed to [Thomas] Townshend, the Canal Contractor at Birmingham, 1 page 4to with address-leaf, London, 2 September 1825. Asking Townshend to pay the Ł1,626 10s 8d due to Mr Lee, and explaining that he had passed only briefly through Birmingham.

'... I spoke to Mr Lee at Birm^m and have again urged him to enable to proceed with the tunnelling. [sic]'
