Allaying Elliot's anxiety about Archdeacon Thorp [Thomas Thorp, 1797-1877, Archdeacon of Bristol]. 'You need be under no anxiety as to Arch. Thorp. The Ch[ancello]r has appointed another man as he told me yesterday ...'In the shorter letter Brougham asks Elliot to deliver something (no longer included) to 'the farmer at French Fields'.
