Letter Signed ('Exmouth'), to Commissioner Shields at Plymouth Dockyard, 2 pages 4to (attached by remains of address-leaf to a mount), Teignmouth, 13 September 1817. Asking for the Commander-in-Chief's house at Plymouth to be prepared for his reception.
' Understanding that the Admiralty House will require white washing, painting, etc. before it is fit for the reception of my family, I request you will be pleased to give such directions as are usual on the occasion in order to its accomplishment ...'
