Typewritten Letter Signed with an autograph alteration, to [Donald Coggan], the Bishop of Bradford (later Archbishop of Canterbury), 1 page 4to, Faber & Faber, 7 April 1960. Probably concerning the work of the committee revising the psalms.
'... I meant to make clear that I am [altered from 'was'] puzzled by the phrase "plead Thou my cause" and was wondering what Professor Thomas' view might be as to the accuracy of the translation. ...'
The Revised Psalter, the work of a committee which included C.S. Lewis, appeared in 1963.
