LINDLEY, John (1799-1865). Botanist and horticulturist.
2 Autograph Letters Signed to [Sir Charles Wentworth] Dilke, 4 pages 8vo (slight traces of mounting), Horticultural Society, dated in another hand 1855 and 1856. Sending a circular, mentioning several colleagues, and adding a reference to 'that scamp Wilson'.
Sir Charles Wentworth Dilke (1810-1869) was connected with the Royal Horticultural Society, and with Lindley and Paxton founded the "Gardeners' Chronicle".
