CANOVA, Antonio (1757-1822). Italian sculptor.
Document Signed, a diploma signed as President of the Accademia Romana di S. Luca, 1 page small folio, St Apollinare, 16 August 1813. Made out and also signed by by the secretary, G.A. Guattani, with red wax seal (small splash by Canova's signature, not affecting the text), awarding the third prize, first class for the 'concorso del Nudo' to Salvatore Passamonti from Rome.
Small printed identification slip at the foot, small worm holes, but an attractive document.
