'Last year you had a play of mine - "The Anatomist" under consideration ... you expressed, I think, some appreciation of it when you saw it first. ...'
'... Constables, who are printing the play in Spring, have a version in which I have tightened up the last act considerably & made the "Irish" of the second act more authentic. The version I am sending you was made, I think, after the Edinburgh & before the Glasgow, production. ...'
