KENDAL, Madge and William Hunter Small collection of 4 Autograph Letters Signed (three on postcards) from Madge Kendal and an Autograph Letter Signed from W H Kendal, all to Mrs Alec Tweedie, 1914-1935, where dated. Warm, personal letters, making social engagements, explaining that she goes nowhere so near the anniversary of her husband's death and wishing Mrs Tweedie success with her book. Mrs Alec Tweedie (1867-1940) was an author of many books covering travel, medical matters and reminiscences. Her Through Finland in Carts was immensely popular when it was first printed and is still considered a fine example of travel literature.
