DICKENS, Charles (1812-1870). Novelist.
Autograph Letter Signed to Arthur Ryland (1807-1877), 1 page 8vo lightly tipped to a card by the second leaf, Tavistock House, 'Thursday Twenty Fifth May 1854'. Thanking Ryland for a list, which Dickens had gone over 'with great interest' and sending greetings from his wife and her sister (Georgina Hogarth).
Arthur Ryland was a Birmingham Solicitor, who had arranged for Dickens to give readings in December 1883. The present letter is not in the Pilgrim edition of The letters of Charles Dickens, and is apparently unpublished.
